The most recent Ellora-Ajanta International Festival took place in 2016. The district officials have also decided to revive the celebration with fanfare after a seven-year hiatus.

On February 12, a pre-festival event named "Purvarang" will be held at the Sant Eknath Rang Mandir in Osmanpura, Aurangabad, before the major cultural spectacle. The main draw of the pre-festival event would be popular musicians performing Marathi music. Along with the Marathi musical spectacle, renowned musicians will perform in Hindi and Sufi music.

Numerous well-known local, national, and international artists will display their incredible talents during this year's main Ellora-Ajanta International Festival at Soneri Mahal, which will last three days. You must go to this festival if you enjoy traditional folk music.

To encourage tourism in the Aurangabad district, the Ellora-Ajanta International Festival has once more been recreated. When the event initially debuted in 1985, it was a huge success! The well-known Ellora caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, specifically Kailasa Temple, served as the festival's location back then.

Although the location has moved this year, the atmosphere should stay the same. Additionally, Ustad Rashid Khan, Ustad Shujaat Khan, Mahesh Kale, Ravi Chari, Shivmani, Vijay Ghate, Sangeeta Mazumdar, and Shankar Mahadevan are just a few of the amazing list of artists performing this year. With such a strong roster, one can anticipate that the festival will be a huge success once more.
