Ellora Caves, one of the most critical and ancient monuments in the country, are set to end up the first monument in India to get a hydraulic lift. Situated in Aurangabad district, Maharashtra, it's also a famous UNESCO World Heritage Site. The information was shared through a senior official of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) recently.

Talking to PTI, superintendent archaeologist of Aurangabad circle Milan Kumar Charley, said, "The ASI has been undertaking several projects to make Ellora Caves, that unfolds across a stretch of 500 meters, extra tourist-friendly. These initiatives are both in the process of being sanctioned or being executed."

These terrific caves are located some 30 km from Aurangabad. For those who don’t know, Ellora is also among the largest rock-cut temple complexes in the complete world featuring 34 caves. There are Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain sculptures.

Cave number 16, also known as Kailash Cave, is quite famous. Being a double-tale structure, site visitors want to climb a staircase or pass up a ramp, informed the officer. Though there may be a staircase and a ramp, the ASI wants to defloration small lifts on each aspect of the structure.

"There will be no construction activity for putting in these lifts. The mechanism could be small with nine rectangular ft area, wherein someone in a wheelchair can without difficulty visit the primary floor." stated the authentic.

After the setup paintings are complete, Ellora turns into the first international background site in India to have a boost facility.
