Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren these days inaugurated a 95-acre park that has been built to preserve the Jurassic-era fossils. Set on Rajmahal hills in Sahebganj, this fossil park in Mandro Block has been built at a price of INR 10. seventy-nine crore, which apart from generating employment for locals, will also sell eco-tourism.

Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Minister added that that is one of the biggest treasure troves that Jharkhand is proud of. Mandro hill is one of the world’s rarest locations that boast of such fossil finds, he brought.

Soren also brought that he'll go to the park again, and live again for an afternoon to learn extra about the fossils.

As per the reports, several plants and animal fossils of the Jurassic technology were determined on Rajmahal hills, which are estimated to be 200 -145 million years old. If statistics are to head by, Palaeobotanist Birbal Sahani is said to be the first one to have taken an intensive look at the fossils.

Divisional forest officer (DFO), Sahebganj, Manish Tiwary instructed the media that the park has several facilities including, a mini laboratory, a museum-cum-auditorium, and an eco-tourism complex. He brought that it's evolved with the goal of producing awareness approximately the importance of fossil preservation, eco-tourism promotion, and livelihood possibility introduction for locals here.

Revealing extra about the park, he said that private cars will now no longer be allowed in the park and that only battery-operated auto-rickshaws can be allowed to ply inside. There can be a relaxation house, in which researchers and college students can be capable of life and study, he added.
