By Train–The nearest rail connectivity to Dalhousie is Pathankot Railway st ation.It is connected to cities of India like Jammu, Delhi, Jaipur.

By Road–There is road connectivity from Pathankot to Dalhousie. It is a hilly road. The distance is 72 km approx. It is advisable to drive safely as the hilly road exhausts you.

Places to see at Dalhousie


Covered by green pine as well as deodar trees, Panchpula is a picnic spot of fascination in Dalhousie, situated at a distance of 3.5 km from Gandhi Chowk. Situated at an elevation of 6,500 feet, Khajjiar is acclaimed for its nine-hole golf course nestled in the midst of exotic greenery and a splendid landscape.

However, the path to Khajjiar is closed during winters due to heavy snowfall. Visit Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary on the way from Dalhousie to Khajjiar. The exotic beauty of this place has inspired many kingdoms and including the Rajputs and Mughals. The Khajji Nag temple was constructed in the 12th century and has pulled devotees ever since. It is among the beautiful places of Himachal Pradesh.


Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary

 Wildlife, snow-capped mountains, verdant grass, lands, and streams of crystal clear water make up the Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary. Also known as the Kalatop Khajjiar Sanctuary, it is set in the beautiful Chamba. Kalatop means 'black cap', referring to the dense, black forest cover on the most elevated hilltop in the sanctuary. Just some kilometers from the Chamba dam as well as Chamera reservoir on Ravi, rich in flora and fauna.

Situated near Dalhousie in the Chamba District of Himachal, the Chamba Lake is the man-made reservoir for the Chamba Dam. It is a well-known picnic spot as well as a boating location. Church of St John

Constructed in 1863, St John's Church is the first church in Dalhousie and carries historical relevance apart from being a center point of Protestant faith in the region. Standing in Gandhi Chowk is a favorite for photographers. It has excellent British architecture and is among the heritage monuments of Himachal Pradesh. The church is open for praise and worship on Sundays and other important days of the Christian calendar.
