Bala Quila Fort also called the Alwar Fort is located in the Aravalli Ranges, over the town of Alwar. Constructed in the 15th century by Hasan Khan Mewati, it was under the reign of Marathas, and Yadavas as well as the Kachwaha Rajputs. Bala Quila means Young Fort. Laxman Pole is the metalled road connecting the Fort with Alwar city. According to history, Pratap Singh, the founder of Alwar state, made an entry to this fort through this metalled way.

In 1775 A.D. Kachhwaha Rajput Pratap Singh conquered the fort and laid the foundation of Alwar city. You can see the wonderful fort from the city itself.
