There will be live performances, exhibitions, sporting events, immersive experience zones, and an innovation mela during the Purple Fest. Goa is poised to hold the much-awaited Purple Fest: Celebrating Diversity, the first-ever inclusive competition withinside the nation for individuals with disabilities (PwDs) (PwDs). The competition may be hosted in Panjim from January 6-8, 2023, with all pomp and show.

The Goa State Commission for Persons with Disabilities, in collaboration with the Goa Directorate of Social Welfare and Entertainment Society, will hold the Purple Fest. Thousands of entries have been registered for the festival, and delegates from all across the country are anticipated to join and be a part of this big festival.

 

For Goan delegates and students with impairments, the program is free. The registration fee for the remaining delegates is INR 1000 per person. In the case of group registrations, 50% of the fees will be waived for a group of more than 10 delegates, making the registration fee only INR 500. The registration price for event exhibitors is INR 2500.

At the Purple Fest, there will be all types of interesting live events such as music concerts, dancing and stand-up comedy among many other interactive activities. sporting activities, a blind automobile rally, bird watching, and exhibitions showcasing the most recent assistive technologies created by and for PwDs. For those who are interested, live art camps will also be offered. The event also includes excursions to well-known tourist destinations and historic places.

 

Government will try to work hard to make the main destinations as well as select beaches accessible to diving during Purple Fest,” stated Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
